Title: We All Fall Down
Characters/Pairings: Jack/Ianto, Gwen, Jack's parents
Rating: PG
Notes: Written for [livejournal.com profile] writerinadrawer Round 4.10. I totally did not expect to win the thing with this, but am grateful. Thank you.

As a child, Jack thinks peninsula means someplace barely connected to the world because it takes three days to get anywhere useful from his house. )
Title: The Seventh Time Jack Shagged Ianto Silly
Rating: R
Spoilers: CoE, "Day 4" (so that's your warnings right there, although story takes place right at beginning of episode, not at the end).
Notes: Part of Seven Times Jack Shagged Ianto Silly as spawned in the comments at [livejournal.com profile] tw_gleeclub and written by 7 different authors. All the parts are going to be linked in one place later this weekend, and I will add that here, so you can read the 7 pieces of the story together.

They don't even get out of the warren of warehouses before Jack swerves the car off the road so abruptly that, for a moment, Ianto's sure he's about to intentionally ram it into one of the other buildings. )
Title: The Use of Bones
Characters: Jack, Jack's family, Gwen, Ianto
Rating: PG-13
Notes: Written for [livejournal.com profile] writerinadrawer 4.09. I wrote this on a train two hours before the deadline. I like it a lot for a quickie, but egads, that was a scary plan-free sort of experience. I have made some corrections from the original posting of this. This story was largely inspired by this post about antibiotic availability in 1943 from [livejournal.com profile] jonquil.

Sitting by sick beds is one of those things Jack gets used to as a child. )
Title: From The Underground Kingdoms: personal journal fragments, unknown Torchwood operative, Earth, mid-20th century.
Characters: Jack, WWII-era team
Rating: PG
Notes: Written for [livejournal.com profile] writerinadrawer 4.08. Original prompt required story to be 1,000 words or less. I accidentally dropped two words in a sentence; I have now fixed that here, and removed two other words to compensate. I also wished I could have done this written out by hand and scanned in, but that was outside the rules, I may still do it to make the actual thing.

Jack came back yesterday from killing Auggie Haverton and brought us a gramophone. )
Title: Anywhere, Anywhen
Characters: Jack, Gwen, Alonso (indirectly)
Spoilers: post-CoE
Rating: G
Author's notes: Written for [livejournal.com profile] writerinadrawer Round 4.05. Also written when I was jet-lagged, recovering from kidney stones, and in a special, special place due to my academic work related to the aftermath of CoE. But I'm quite fond of this and may expand later to explore some stuff that came up in it unexpectedly.

Three weeks after Jack comes back, he and Gwen confiscate a sports car from a blowfish. )
Title: A Better Plan

Gwen sat next to Ianto, leaning against his shoulder. )
Title: Agōgē
Fandom: Torchwood
Pairing: Jack/Ianto
Rating: PG

Not all alphabets are ordered the same. )
Title: They Were Promised Flying Cars
Fandom: Torchwood
Pairing: Jack/Ianto, Gwen/Rhys
Rating: G
Stuff you should know: Written for [livejournal.com profile] writerinadrawer round 4.01
Additional notes: One of the three requirements this round was to reference a 20th century TV show (we also had a word limit of 200 words, which I think I suffered for, and had to use the line "I've been waiting for this."). I went either subtle or vague on the TV show front, so, fyi, "20 Minutes Into the Future" was the tag-line of "Max Headroom" which did have an episode as described below.

Title: Spa Day
Fandom: Torchwood
Pairing: Jack/Ianto, Jack/Ianto/OC
Rating: NC-17
Stuff you should know: Written for [livejournal.com profile] kink_bingo. Prompt: shaving/depilation.
Beta: The entire damn Internet. Your lesson for today: never, ever, try to edit fic on a Blackberry. Thank you all.

'Ianto, a moment,' Jack says as the rest of the team files out. )
Title: Training
Fandom: Torchwood
Pairing: Jack/Ianto
Rating: NC-17
Stuff you should know: Written for [livejournal.com profile] kink_bingo. Prompt: obedience. Also contains off-label use of sleeping pills, bondage, orgasm denial and gags. Oh god, this is why people use pseudonyms for their fic, isn't it? Hi, Internet!

'You know what your problem is, Ianto?' Jack asks, bouncing a pencil against the edge of his desk. It's annoying, and Ianto knows it's intended to be; for all he pretends otherwise, Jack's incredibly aware of the people around him. )
Title: Numbered
Fandom: Torchwood
Pairing: Jack/Ianto
Rating: NC-17
Spoilers: Vague S1 and S2 references.
Stuff you should know: Written for [livejournal.com profile] kink_bingo. Contains chastity devices.
Author's notes: I had a choice between 20,000 words and minimalism. Minimalism won.

They're lying on Ianto's couch. Well, Ianto is. Jack's sitting on the floor next to him and trying to get him to focus. )

Virtual Season, episode 4: Half-Baked

Title: Red and Fourth
Pairing/Characters: Jack/OMC, Jack/Ianto
Author: [livejournal.com profile] rm
Rating/Content: NC-17; BDSM
Summary: Jack has a rebound relationship. Because Jack is a fuck-up it lasts for 45 years.
Wordcount: ~3300
Author's Note: Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] kalichan and [livejournal.com profile] tsarina for sitting through 800 different spellings of Lashansky and reassuring me I was on the right track.

Jack is two years out from Cardiff the first time he meets Martin Lashansky. )
Title: Love and Other Monstrous Things
Pairing/Characters: Ianto, Myfanwy, Jack, team.
Author(s): 1st part - [livejournal.com profile] kalichan; 2nd part - [livejournal.com profile] kalichan & [livejournal.com profile] rm
Rating/Content: PG-13, pre-slash, hurt/comfort
Summary: Love your pterodactyl, don't love your pterodactyl.
Wordcount: ~1700
Authors' Notes: So… Kali wrote this thing for [livejournal.com profile] writerinadrawer, which Rach, being lazy, doesn't participate or vote in. However, upon checking in with the hive mind (can 2 be a hive mind?) it was determined that this really fit into the Traveling universe. Thus! Here is a little bit of outtake/candy from IHNIIHBT, for all of you who might be missing that world, and are waiting so patiently for chapter 3 of EtGB (it's coming soon, we promise!). First part takes place post TW 1x04: Cyberwoman, and the conversation afterwards takes place a while after There Are Some Men Who Should Have Mountains to Bear Their Names to Time and before Harbour.

1. Two days, twelve hours, and fifty-seven minutes since Lisa

2. Some Years Later
Title: Enough To Go By (2/10)
Characters: Gwen, Jack, Ianto, Rhys
Pairing: canon + various permutations of Jack/Gwen/Ianto
Authors: [livejournal.com profile] rm and [livejournal.com profile] kalichan
Rating/Content: NC-17, het, slash & poly
Summary: Close enough for government work.
Wordcount: ~8500 (this chapter)
Authors' Notes: This is the second chapter of our poly curtains!fic. The first installment may have been lost to the sands of time, so in case you need a refresher, all parts can be found here. Apologies for the long lag, but [livejournal.com profile] kalichan was somewhat waylaid by the universe. The title is from the song of the same name by Vienna Teng. Parts 1 & 2 are set post Series 2; Parts 3 & 4 will be set post Torchwood: The Golden Age; Parts 5-10 will be (sort of) CoE compliant.
Note on CoE: We generally like to be as canon compliant as possible, and as such, have redrawn the EtGB arc to encompass certain key elements of CoE while discarding others in a way that we think is entirely justifiable under the laws and structure of the Whoniverse. Rest assured, while later parts of the story will contain some spoilers, you will be able to read this story regardless of your acceptance/denial of the events depicted in series 3 as a whole.

Title: All These Days After Tomorrow
Pairing: Jack/Ianto
Rating: PG
Spoilers: Series 3 -- if you're trying to stay unspoiled, skip this for now as it will either make no sense or give you spoilers or both.
A/N: thanks to [livejournal.com profile] xtricks for chattering with me about this particular topic and helping me solve the name problem.

Title: Because Men Once Went West
Rating: PG
Pairings: Jack/OCs
Summary: Jack in America in the 1890s
Author's Note: I did a ton of research to write this, and I've still probably gotten stuff wrong; the information I dug up was consistently disturbing and contradictory. I also moved the date of the SF plague outbreak from 1900 (thank you to [livejournal.com profile] wordsofastory for informing me of this odd, horrible and poorly-handled event in the first place). This is one of those stories that, while containing no explicitly disturbing content, has a lot of implicitly disturbing content and might be distressing for some folks.
A/N #2: [livejournal.com profile] iamshadow correctly points out that, as far as we know, Jack gets shot on Ellis Island, not stabbed. My bad -- in the midst of history research to have a bit of canon fail. So let's just say Jack is a lying liar who lies, yeah?

By the time Jack gets to Ellis Island, he already knows there’s something seriously wrong with him. )
