I'm glad you're going to be talking about this work you did. I think just about every job is at least kind of interesting - it's what made me a pretty good technical writer, for the short period I was one. I am interested in everything. And even more than that, I'm interesting *you're* going to be talking about it. I've seen the odd sexwork narrative. I read Diary of a Manhattan Call Girl, and it was interesting, although really...clean. Smooth. It didn't feel like a story that got to the rich and fascinating levels of life, it felt like slightly salacious chick lit. I've seen the odd segment on Sex TV when that show was still on, and, you know, there's only so much you can say in a 15 minute, heavily produced tv segment, eh?
I'm looking forward to hearing what you talk about. Your LJ always, always feels like a story about a person having an experience. Does that sound simplistic, like I've just defined narrative? I don't mean it to be. That "a person" element is frequently lacking, in my view.
