Wow, everything I read stories like the one you link to, or (especially) yours I am impressed with the magic of New York. I caught glimpses of something similar in LA, but nowhere else in the US seems to have anything like that level of wondrous oddity. Once again, it occurs to me that you should write a book about New York.
