1. I've had about 3 hours of sleep (what is with me lately?) not including the stairwell and I'm essentially chained to me desk writing this election report and all I really want is someone to bring me beef bahn hoi right now even though that's entirely not convenient to the office.

2. You're in Torchwood fandom and you just warned for canonical pairing M/M kissing. Are you perfectly fucking serious? One day I will be able to set things on fire with my eyes. Sadly, today is not that day.

And when you learn how to do that, can you teach me?

People who are homophobic in any way have no business being in the Torchwood fandom. I mean, come on.

See, and that's thing -- this person was probably just being blindly "sensitive" to the "needs" of others. But seriously, fuck that shit. If it happens on screen in the real show, you don't need to warn for it if it's not a spoiler. Jeez.

Yeah, I can see that. I agree with you though; if someone really has a problem with gay canon pairing then they really just need to poked fun at. A lot. With sporks.

I'm wondering just in technical terms: is Jack/Ianto not slash because they're a gay canon pairing? Or does slash now refer to all gay pairings, canon or not? I always thought slash referred specifically to gay non canon pairings, but maybe I'm splitting hairs here.

I think historically you're right, but I think we just use it for everything now.

I'd bring you beef bahn hoi right now, but it's even less convenient to Seattle!

Thank you. Just the thought makes me happy. When the insidious Germans approve my fucking election analysis for this week then I can go fetch some myself.

Since they've finally decided to:

a) pay me
b) give me my health insurance back

Oh what a week. I need noodles.

See, I don't even presume homophobia from the warning, or from the warner's presumed perceptions of the audience.

I've always seen 'content warnings' as more of 'click here encouragements,' though, so I may be biased. I'd rather they keep labelling the kissin' so I can see the tone and intimacy level at a glance. That way I can skip the ones that lack kissin' if that's what I'm looking for today.

Hahaha true. And Kali and I definitely put very weird warnings on some of our stories (not the TW ones which have needed real, actual warnings, but the HP ones sort of revolve around what sort of fucked up warnings we can come up with like "alcohol made from meat; bratty children")

Oh my. That's practically like warning: "This story contains subject-verb agreement."

Except that we all know a story carrying the first warning probably wouldn't need this one. Since they am not dones it much. (man, typing that made my head hurt!)

That is driving me round the bend, yes XD It's a 15-rated, post-watershed show, for heaven's sake. There're too many kids in their first slash fandom, that's half the trouble.
