Many of you have asked how you can help my friend Soren (baldanders)

Recapping, in case anyone doesn't know -- Soren had a stroke a few days ago. He is in the hospital and it seems like he will be for a whie. The good news is that he's definitely in there, but right now he can't speak much (he has been communicating with people through eye motions, song and gesture) and his movement is significantly impaired. We have hopes, and not unreasonable ones, that he will make a full recovery, but right now the prognosis is also unclear. The good news is that he's stubborn as hell, does seem to be improving, and has a huge support network.

Soren is only 44-years-old. He is also a freelance copywriter without health insurance. Between loss of income and hospital bills, this is going to place a pretty huge burden on him and his partner roadnotes, both of whom I"ve been friends with for 15 years.
