[Poll #235610]

I was surprised by the degree to which timing won. And after calling Ohio to order those damn envelopes, I then ran around the city to find some here. Glad I ordered from Ohio, where they are cheaper, but now I don't have to obsess on not being able to send anything out for a week. Maes me feel way better, even if it was a kooky obsessive compulsive moment.

The art of strategy generally involves knowing when not to act. This is very challenging for me, and I will probably spend the rest of the night away from the computer just to ensure my compliance with a variety of choices I've just made about something not that important that is still personal and under my skin. Ahhhh, Internet. Yum.

I'm surprisingly about clean living these days. I eat pretty well, and drink infrequently, and then so little to say in moderation would be an exageration. This isn't really about anything other than opportunity, motivation and the things that hold my attention. That said, I'm way overdue for a good rousing night out. I shall have to come up with an occassion. Or some such.

Perhaps being lucky is more useful, but you can't exactly control that, so you might as well be good. :)

The idea of "usefulness" is throwing me, because in the long run, I don't consider either luck or goodness to be all that useful--at least not in the sense that I think you mean usefulness. Luck is capricious and can't be counted on when you need something useful; goodness doesn't produce useable rewards any more than luck does. It's a good question, I guess, but I get the sense that any answer I give will be meaningless.

Luck wins at the last second!

Excellent question. I was going to pick good because I saw them as being equally as useful, and being good makes me feel better than being lucky. I picked lucky at the last minute because I realized that being lucky will keep one alive longer. ;)

I am answering on the basis of being "good" meaning having skill, being good at what one does, not good as in avoiding eating fried foods etc.
