NYC is under a tornado watch until 2am.

I went outside to get the mail and thought "This weather is creeping me out. It feels like tornado weather, but we can't have a tornado in november," and then I came inside and the news announced a tornado watch. Some days I'd prefer not to be right.

Maybe that explains why I've felt so uneasy for the past couple of hours.
Something just felt "wrong".

... ... I feel completely stupid, but... ... NYC can have a tornado?

wow. I always thought all the tall buildings would screw with it and not let that... ...erm, work properly.

Wow. That just blows my mind! We had severe thunderstorms on Election Eve this year...THAT was about as late as I can recall for severe (non-snow) weather in Minnesota.

Please be careful...

This is freaky. I am now nestled into my living room with a glass of wine, thinking that the intermittent but torrential downpour that I found myself in earlier makes more sense now.

Holy shit, I totally said to Ifan today that the clouds were moving too quick, and the last time I saw that, a tornado dropped on my head. Duly noted.

Most of MA as well.

Yikes! Hope it doesn't show up.

Amazingly, Seattle was all blue skies and sunshine, in the middle of November. It was good marching weather.

Some thing are much better as special effects.

The sky looked scary this afternoon in Philadelphia. Normally, when the clouds are moving fast, the sky is overcast with some distinguishable clouds.

Today was something I've never seen before. Not exactly cumulous, but still rather round clouds with sky showing between them, and going fast. Not intrinsically frightening (and shirtsleeve weather in mid-November!), but way out of the ordinary.

Yes...the weather has been acting a little strange these past few years, hasn't it? Last year we had a tornado watch in the the Chicago area...in January. I don't think I had ever seen that before.

Nothing happened, thank god! Just a lot of wind though.
