You don't want to know how much money I just spent in M&J Trimmings because:

- the buttons on the coat are currently steel and must be changed to brass
- the buttons on all my shirts are dark and must be changed to white

When I get fussy about these things, I get really fussy about these things and the internal map that dictates it is pretty surreal. But this is two, TWO, fandoms in a row where my love for fictional characters is demonstrated by buttons.

Issues: I can haz them.

No idea. This is the big shiny store they go to for trim on Project Runway and one half is buttons and one half is ribbons?

Well, I think you have your buttons-that's the main thing.

Torchwood = obsessive clothing fetishes. It's, like, a law or something.

As long as you're not replacing your eyes with them, things will probably be alright.

It's the small details that really finish off a piece. Takes it frmo being "costume" to being "clothes". And also separates "kinda" from "is" accurate.

I applaud your deligence and devotion to detail.

I spent a lot of money on brass/Staybrite buttons for my greatcoat and No 1 jacket, too. (I've worn my greatcoat as a coat, and no-one's said a word. That's the thing with Oxford, though - no-one cares what you're wearing.) It did mean I had some left for the Hussars jacket I'm making at the moment, though.

1) You are insane

2) If one were attaching gold braided trim to a parasol with festoon loops at the bottom, would one attach it so that the loops just reach the bottom edge, or so that the straight bit runs round the bottom edge and the loops hang down below?
