R - Thanks for posting that link. That's wonderful news and it's just sad that it had to happen so many years after the man's death.

This makes my day. Turing's a personal hero of mine, and I've never seen anything as elegant as finite state automata. He deserved so much more, but this is definitely something.

It's incredibility sad that that happened to begin with, not just with him but with how many others. At least we are growing up and acknowledging our mistakes in the past.

That man deserved far better than he got. Simply for his serve to humanity during WW2.

Talk about your sacrifices for freedom, huh? Alan Turing was a class act, and it's long past time this was issued. Well done, Mr Brown.

Thank you for posting this. I signed the petition. What a tragedy and a horror. Turing! So worthwhile there are no words.

I am curious to here your feelings on the apology itself. I always enjoy your well thought out responses even when I have a differing view.

I thought it was tremendously gracious, and it brought a tear to my eye. My only discomfort with it, was something that I also felt made it remarkably effective, which is the level of familiarity and informality that I thought Turing was addressed with.
