  • Do what you can, want what you have, and be who you are. Most of my knowledge of All Souls comes from winding up on their mailing list and reading about Chruch's (yeah, a reverend with the last name of Church) journey. Even in the obituary, I keep finding that journey useful.

  • It looks like there is hope for the resurrection of Barn Dance!

  • Tonight Patty and I are going to see The Informant at the SAG screening. Currently we're hung up on dinner as a before or after concept.

  • My 20th high-school reunion is apparently finally in the planning stages. How is this even possible?

    Woah.

No clue how I missed Church's death. I was raised Unitarian and am still pretty heavily involved. Forrest Church is one of the names that almost every UU knows - quite a few congregations give his book 'A Chosen Faith' to graduating high school students for their bridging ceremony. He generated a bit of controversy once in a while, but it was almost always controversy that we needed.

try thirty...no one in my class thought to think about it....I didn't realize the mark had come until early this month...I blame it on age.

I look forward to hear what you thought of the film you are seeing tonight. It is on my list as an "iwanttosee".

I just had my 10 year grad anniversary. We didn't plan anything (thank goodness), but it's still really crazy that it's been 10 years since I graduated. Especially since I'm still in school, which I think is the hardest part to swallow.

I had the pleasure of hearing Rev. Church speak at my congregation. He was so intelligent, articulate and passionate.
May we honor his passing by remembering his words.

I should probably pay attention to that last bit -- though the alumni association still sends all my mail to my parents (not that I've disabused them of the notion).

It wasn't on the most recent alumni newsletter. Someone fucking facebooked me about it.

    Brilliant.

If that's how it ends up being organized, I'm not going (otoh, I missed all the others, so...)
