'Five by Five' is the ep where Angel (the show, and the character) really comes into its (his) own. The sheer rawness of the emotions at the end are still some of the most powerful in the whole show.
I've been resisting the urge to be all IANTO WAS BASED ON WESLEY, but I'm starting to be all IANTO WAS BASED ON WESLEY. I'm half joking. But only half! Yes. No. See there is so many similarities, and yet... despite loving Wesley (and his journey) like you wouldn't believe, I never had that overarching obsession that I felt for Ianto. (I can't say more yet.)
