We only did it a few times out of boredom/interest. I have never felt compelled to do anything about it.

The only time I ever gave behavioural detention in a class was when a student was telling us about how ugly Julia was in the film version of 1984 (I think he watched the film instead of reading the book, the lazy fuck), and when I told him that was harsh, he said, "Miss P, she doesn't trim the bush."
