I didn't read the whole article fully, but... I dunno. When I got pregnant, my sex drive DIED. like, literally, I got aroused, period, *maybe* five times in the whole nine months. It's resumed somewhat in the last two months {I'm 8m postpartum} but certainly not to the level it was at before and certainly not even anywhere near 4.5 events a month. There's a whole lot of media bombardment about how women are supposed to be so horny while pregnant, but I've talked to far more women who had experiences closer to mine than women who actually got the randy hormones. I wouldn't take the pill, but mostly because I have an intense distrust of such things and think we as a country are far over-medicated with products whose side effects have far huger harmful potential risk, if that makes sense {I curse the day I got my IUD, for example- if I'd been aware of what might happen I would've gone running in the opposite direction, and my side effects weren't even the worst possible}. I do think it's not totally that far off from normal for a significant number of women to have a problem with it-- their example cited at the end was a mom of three. I don't think they're saying it's normal to have only "4.5 sexually satisfying events," I got the impression more that they're trying to help women like me, who are not nearly that lucky at the current point in their lives.
