Not really, as it's not where my interest lies. I'm looking at why some fictional character deaths provoke these reactions and why some don't. Do I think the impulse to mourn the public character a a non-fictional person can often be the same? Sure, and it almost always comes up in passing when I present on the subject, but I don't really have any research on it to share with you.
