The other referenced bad behavior was pre-Twitter when Jonathan Rhys Meyers was cast in Oliver Stone's Alexander. It involved him using slurs during an interview. And considering his role in Velvet Goldmine it was spectacularly not cool.
I read those tweets and saw red. Really, I don't care how hot you are, it doesn't make up for you being an ass. As you pointed out, you're told/asked over and over if you're comfortable with the situation, act professionally.
This is also why I'm kinda a little in love with Darren Cris, when asked what's it like to be straight and play a gay character he said "It's my job, my sexuality has nothing to do with it. I can only hope that I do justice to the character and storyline."
Funny I didn't even remember JRM being in "Alexander". What did he say? He didn't have any gay love scenes in Alexander, did he? Just Colin Farrell (Who I think I remember said something ass-hatish) and Jared Leto and whoever played Bagoas.
Did no one get a screenshot of this model/actor's incriminating tweet(s)? The only other evidence I'm getting of it happening is in a comment thread on After Elton (http://www.afterelton.com/TV/2011/03/brad-casey-dillon-john-barrowman-torchwood-miracle-day-gay-hookup#comment-186510); not to say I disbelieve it happened, but I post on an LGBT entertainment forum and usually something like this demands a "screenshot or it didn't happen".
