morning sundries
Aug. 9th, 2006 11:29 amI really dislike it when people talk to me like I don't know what I'm doing about perfectly ordinary things, like say, booking a flight. While I am perfectly familiar with the fact that you get what you pay for, I also used to fly a lot on business and have pretty much always travelled alone, and other than some late luggage once, I know what I'm doing when it comes to this flying thing. I even got to pick my seat this time, so it's not like that horrifying seat I had on the NYC-LA leg of my Sydney flight.
Because we posted it at like 2am, some of you might have missed that there is new Descensus. Go read. It's very, very funny.
When I started writing this I thought I had more to say but now can't remember it. I ate prosciutto last night, which was a pleasure. It was one of those foods I thought I was going to have to give up at one point in this drama. That said, my ability to digest fat is clearly somewhat impaired in general from this celiac thing, and I don't know if that will get better in time as my body hopefully heals.
I wish it was cooler, I am sick of my bra-straps showing and not looking like the person I am.
I did get to the tailor yesterday so I am mailing in my measurements for the Regency stuff today. I didn't get the foll measurements that I need for eShakti done, but that isn't really on a timeline, so whatever.
This perhaps merits a longer post later -- but the variety of spiritual folk on my friends list is so astounding and cool. It's like the non-toxic version of the world I grew up with. You all amaze me.
I'll need to buy new luggage for Phoenix Rising, as I'll have to have one of those garment bag luggage pieces for the stuff I'm bringing (Regency gown, Regency men's suit, Snape stuff). We know all about me and cute luggage, now don't we? Although my need to be the most adorable girl in the world in the New Orleans airport, is, however, markedly less intense than it was in Sydney. Speaking of which, all this time later, I really need to finish posting my Sydney journals here. I think I stopped when I got to the really embarassing part about what could gently be termed visualization.
I will try to do another music post today. I know it's been a while.
I'm probably going to send an email to Judy's Book today that's going to start drama, both about their rewards program and the nauseating heteronormativity of the site -- it seems like ever contest they do lately is "give us recommendations for the stores you go to to get your kids ready for school". Surely those of us without children are still consumers!
Finally, and this is said with all humour (and a few other things), I need my very own Hermione. However you choose to interpret this, will probably do just fine. No jacuzzi jokes however, thnx.
And it's off to work.
