Good night with lots of people none of whom I got to see enough of.

I've made a command decision, hard as it was, NOT to go to fencing tomorrow. I have some other obligations it's more appropriate not to cancel or postpone, even if I'm unsure of my mood to meet them and I'm still not entirely sure how my body is reacting to all of this. I fel myself getting stronger, but right now it's from rest. I will keep a careful eye on how I feel tomorow, so I can gauge if next week I start with once a week or twice a week. I will practice basic positions over the rest of this week and have dance on Sunday, which thankfully uses entirely different muscle groups.

I'm not doing this to learn patience, but it's an unavoidable side effect.

I am remarkably not in pain today. Sore, but no big deal. My schedule just won't allow fencing today though. I'm trying not to feel guilty! Guilty! Okay, next week, twice a week it seems.

Meanwhile, you should have new Descensus by Friday.

I can't be the only one thinking this

You know that whole RED product line to fight poverty?

There's these shirts at the GAP now that read "Desi(red)"

Am I the only person going "South Asian/East Indian, wha?" when they see this instead of actually reading "desired"?

global sex survey

http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2006/11/01/europe/EU_MED_Sex_Study.php

In the first comprehensive global study of sexual behavior, British researchers found that people aren't losing their virginity at ever younger ages, married people have the most sex, and there is no firm link between promiscuity and sexually transmitted diseases.

The study was published Wednesday as part of a series on sexual and reproductive health by the British medical journal, The Lancet. Professor Kaye Wellings of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicines and her colleagues analyzed data from 59 countries worldwide.

petty Internet irritant of the day

http://www.committment.com/creativewomen.html

Well, this is nauseating. Tips for women on expressing their creativity. Nauseatingly trivial ones like buying a doll to dress up, encouraging you to send cards to your friends or experimenting with different colored frosting on the same cake! Oh the horrors! The risk! The feminine daring!

Have a party themed around the era you should have lived in -- my ass! Wear whatever you want. Pick up historic dance. Or a sword. Fuck you.

I'm not even addressing that thing about salad.
