In no particular order:

- art that inspires me to the unlikely, absurd and perfect
- in that vein, classical fencing
- family, you know who you are, and I hope, that I love you
- my health, and not in a particularly abstract way after this year
- as such, Whole Foods and their thorough stocking og gluten-free products
- my ability to make my way in the world without the sort of work or schedule that one is apparently supposed to have
- good genes -- I mean really, do I look 34? Do I live 34? Hardly
- finding people as serious as I am, who laugh as much as I do, (this coincides with several of these other categories)
- relatively minimal financial drama
- my character, temperment, odd forms of patience and resilience
- fandom -- it's given me a lot and been kinder to me than most (but I still would like to know who I have to blow to have my work listed in a certain fannish newsletter)
- wizards -- 'cause it's special in a way I can't describe and don't probably need to
- lj -- from the noise in my head to the noise in yours
- movies
- new friends and a new ability to withstand, brave and risk human contact
- SAG, in spite of it all
- NYC, in spite of it all
- cats, in spite of that thing where they fling themselves against the bedroom door in the middle of the night and wake me up
- a distinct lack of flying cockroaches
- parents who actually laugh when I blurt out "I am witches and reptiles!" in response to an Native American prayer my mother likes to read on Thanksgiving about being protected from witches and reptiles.
- tailors. tailors are good.
- vague political hope.
- Baz Luhrmann is making a new movie and it finally has a title and is really happening.
