Tonight I have to finish my SFF article on food. Tomorrow morning I have to go over to fox for a screening of The Namesake, the new Mira Nair film, that I had a kind of intense reaction to in previews; mostly though I'm curious what the screening will be like, as normall yI see them at regular theatres or the DGA one, I've never been to one at a studio before. Should be weird.

I'm sore in a very different way from class last night, and it's probably a good thing. There's a barn dance tonight, but it's contra and with lots of writing to do (I'm about 25% of the way through something that's probably just for here but I want to get right) it seems ridiculous to go. Besides I have Regency and Renaissance this weekend, as well as teh Sergio Leone thing (I should just suck it up and go) and Purim stuff. I'm busy enough. Who thought I'd ever say that, and who, really, ever thought I'd be able to tolerate this much human contact?

The weather has been thankfully a little warmer lately. But I always forget that slightly warmer weather, especially in teh evening has a habit of making me melancholy for reasons I am not entirely clear on. Remember ages ago when I said I needed to go camping again? The feeling persists, lord knows why.

The food article is done! And earlier than I thought. Big thank you's to all of you and to [livejournal.com profile] ellen_kushner.

Whew. That was exhausting. I think it's pretty good though. Next week's will be about politics and power which will probably be largely about "Why Cyteen Pisses People Off"

Now onto another exhausting essay project.
