This morning I saw a paper on the Goblin banking monopoly that was really good and a presentation on bias against muggleborns and such like in the wizarding world that didn't focus on death eters, but more the off-hand comments of people like Molly Weasley. Also dropped into a panel on slash which was largely good but raised lots of fandom issues that make me edgy (i.e., fandom assuming Remus and Sirius couldn't have been togeter because now Remus is with Tonks because there are no potentially bisexual (Remus) or genderqueer (Tonks) people in canon, fanfiction as a marketing tool for new origfic authors / maybe being a BNF does really matter, MPREG and what it's really about (or not)), but generally was smarter and more interesting than I expected.
Also went to the poolside lesbian meet up. Now it's time to get ready for tonight's presentations, eat food and try not to take a nap.
