Philcon

There will be more when this is all firmed up but right now I can report:

1. We will be at Philcon November 16 - 18. We'll probably take the bus down, but then I will have to go visit the train station because I'm obsessed with that stupid statue.

2. I should have both Horror Between the Sheets and my Harry Potter book for sale at the BU table. There will be a slight discount for those purchasing more than one book off the table (not just mine, but the work of other BU'ers as well).

3. If there is a Rapidfire Reading (we don't know yet), I will be participating. Probably with a small scene from the novel in progress, which makes me so nervous I want to puke.

5. I may or may not be doing other programming.

6. I fucking love Philadelphia, althugh I don't really know why, and would love to meet up with people either at or away from the Con as time permits.
First of all, thank you! Now, let me rant about myself.

In general, I am obsessed with dying worlds, and various manners and cultural details, something which is probably obvious from all the fandoms I made requests in even if you aren't terribly familiar with some of them. I'm also very interested in people who clearly lack anything resembling relationship skills putting on a good if odd effort -- again, this is probably evident from my selected fandoms. As is my fondness for bastards with a sense of honour.

Despite my jokes about porn, any rating is AOK. And angst is fine as long as the piece ends with a sense of peace or hope or closure. I'm often all about the bittersweet, also again, evidenced by my requests. I'm also very curious about how pairings get together or come to acknowledge the fact that they are together. I am totally AOK with AUs.

I've only written in one of my requested fandoms, and you can see that over on [livejournal.com profile] _riverside but there's no reason to use that as a guide. Mostly, I write a whole lot of HP and if you want to see how wacked that can get you can visit [livejournal.com profile] descensus_hp. The unifying themes in both cases are very much the above.

Mostly though, I live for stories that feel real -- both true to themselves and in a sense true to their source material. If getting there requires ignoring everything I've just said above, go for it!
