- Thanks to the good graces of [livejournal.com profile] melebeth and Patty having better nevigational instincts than I and some general dumb luck after I completely mangled the logistics of the whole thing, we saw Stoppard's Rock 'n' Roll today. I did not like it as much as Coast of Utopia but that could have been my general lack of interest in most of the music that was so central to the play's construction. That said, I always enjoy Stoppard's verbalness and I did find myself surprisingly deeply moved by the ending as well as the simple conceit that starts the show. It also has a girl I was in Miss Milligan's 3rd Grade Class Presents Animal Farm with in it. And that was interesting. Also, it's been ages since I've dealt with a mattinnee audience and the last time I did I was on stage. Good heavens, full of evil! Although a woman sitting in front of us was wearing the most spectacular coat. I should also mention Patty has been wearing a stunning white dress with swallows on it today. I am charmed.

- It is raining.

- Evil Day last night was oddly wonderful. I do feel, in many ways, as if I am twenty years too old to be sitting in a pizza parlor on a Saturday night with a hundred people and a small cult band and working hard to feel cool. Certainly. I wonder how wizard rock and the HP fan community would or would not have saved me soul had it existed when I was younger. I suspect it wouldn't mean as much to me, as it took a lot of living to find the emotional resonnaces that I do in those books.

My book sold well and I was oddly moved by a brief chat I had with Brian from Draco and the Malfoys. He provided a quote for the book cover, and he hugged me and congratulated me when we met, and I signed him a copy and I asked him if this band thing is what he does now and we talked about that, and I thought, heavens, this is an odd fraternity to be in. But it was good to feel like I was in that fraternity, as I've worried that the book would exile me from fandom in some ways. I also got interviewed by Fandom Forecast and met tons of cool people and was really wowed and moved and tickled by all sorts of little things. It is hard to explain and I should go blog about it on BookTour.com

- I have to do 4 more Illustion TV blog posts tonight.

- I have lemonade bomb pops. And you don't.

- Will you people go read the damn Descensus update already?
