- I am doing okay with the heat. That said, I am fencing today, which is pretty horrifying. Under other circumstances where I wasn't making so much progress and wasn't trying to be so serious and brutal with my practice and Patty was home (it's amazing how relevant to fencing being home with her can seem -- and I don't even mean that in a dirrty way -- just being present and responsible and doing life -- I think like, but in a very different way from, acting and writing you have to do life well to do a martial art well. It's a reminder of some why, even if it's all abstract) I'd probably beg off in this weather. But nope, I'm in. We'll see how that goes.

- I may be writing about Annie again. I didn't mean to. I was going to write something with a lot of specilaized violence in it that actually had a lot to do with Alex (I've been noodling on this a bit), and then I tossed on the hat I wore this weekend with a long dress and had an idea. Bam!

- The telectroscope yesterday was a bit anti-climatic. Perhaps it was my own fault for not dressing for the occassion. But it's not as big or as cool as it should be, and people just stand there and wave. I did get some funny pictures of London through the thing and one of a small boy playing with the fake steam controls on it, and that was all worthwhile, as was seeing people and eating yet more sushi with them.
