The curry she thought she hated was okra, but it turned out to be Chinese eggplant.

There was an incident with a snake that either was or was not a cobra (she didn't get a good look because it was behind her when everyone started screaming and also speaks a little bit of Hindi and almost no Gujarati so she has no idea what it was only that she knows the word cobra was involved in the discussion somewhere) but was definitely something bad and was eventually killed by the workers and hung in a tree.
