Me: "Seriously, it's all over Glee fandom. Kurt's a half-human cat alien or something."
Patty: "There's a lot of that in fandom."
Me: "I mean, I get it, with how otherworldly the kid looks, but since I'm not into anime, THE CAT EAR SITUATION IS ALWAYS A LITTLE SURPRISING."

That's no miserable person who couldn't get a meaningful job making this thing, it's somebody in love with the sheer strange possibility of the thing. Her only dissatisfaction is probably that she still hasn't really modeled all the ways that cat ears move, nor completely mapped the neural pathways so that those motions can be translated properly for a human wearer.
