In the eyes of some people I'm never going to be an adult.
People always tell me to grow up and I just ask them (politely), "Why? Has it made your life any better?" :) I found your journal randomly but I had to comment on this particular essay. I thought it was very well written and I can relate to many of the thoughts, specifically about traveling. I haven't traveled much but I have a need to go to the empty places and I never envision anyone else with me. I'm more of a solitary person anyway. ;) And about just leaving with a bunch of cash and not looking back - I've moved here and there my whole life. I'm pretty good at this. ;)
