and here we go

Sandra Day O'Connor has just announced her retirement from the Supreme Court.

You think post-2000 politics and discourse have been ugly? I think we have no idea how much more ugly they're about to get.

And there are too many people that don't want to hear/believe the information about the Ohio election. I was called a tin-foil hat wearing conspiracy theorist for mentioning the FACT that certain counties in Ohio that only had 1000 constituents reported over 8000 votes.

Again - head in the sand.

Yeah...my boss is very wealthy, and contributes a lot to the DNC. We get into political discussions all the time, but he gets the same "there Tim goes again..." look on his face whenever I try to explain that unless he's supporting election reform, he's just throwing his money down the toilet.

All you have to do is look at the history of Chuck Hagel, frontrunner for the Republican nomination in 2008. I mean, gimme a break. I think my favorite anomoly is the counter to the "chatty dems" theory -- the exit polls were explained as Democrats being more willing to talk to pollsters...but one of the freaking questions was "who did you vote for in 2000?"...and Bush answers beat Gore answers by 6 points. Sample bias my ass.
