I just read through all of Ghosts. As much as I've been sheepish about reposting it and grumbly about all I have to fix, and worried about having to jump back into the end of its sequel, and it being entirely not a genre I excell at and heteronormative to a fault and yadda yadda yadda -- you know what? I love the thing, now that I'm past the horridly problematic chapter, and just into more minor issues. I love these iterations of (most of) the characters, I love my OCs. Just, in spite of itself really, the thing really is quite something. Nifty.

The bad news is that a particular rather adult scene in it got deleted from fanfiction.net. I think it still exists on my mac, so I either have to deal with that or rewrite it (and honestly, it may need to be rewritten anyway) -- and it's not like I'm sheepish about writing porn or anything, but this particular Snape iteration was always sort of actively hostile about it. It's hard to explain, but sometimes my characters get so aghast with me, it's as if they storm off (a problem we largely don't have with Descensus because everyone is a bit slutty or a bit prone to addiction).

Well, I've promised people things lurking on the mac anyway; and I need to look at something else on there for reference for the origfic project, so I might as well fight that battle this weekend.

Technical problems in Descensus land, but hopefully they will resolve shortly. I assure you, we're as eager and frustrated as the audience right about now.

I hate when I need my characters to get into bed with each other and they keep refusing. The story that was supposed to be in the new version of A Taste of Midnight (but apparently, despite being purchased, didn't make it into the volume) took forever to complete because the story had to be erotica and the characters were too mad at each other to get naked and sweaty. Finally we compromised and they had angry sex. Which was probably more fun for everyone anyway.
