fit of madness

I'm now registered for Phoenix Rising.

ETA: Oh the clothes I'm going to bring -- the Snape coat, the full men's Regency-era formal wear, my sari.

ETA2: The food thing will probably be a fucking NIGHTMARE for me, which is sad in such a great food town. But I'll just pack lots of gluten-free snacks and packaged foods.

You going?

I registered waaaaaay back when registration first opened, just so I could get a spot. However, it may be a bit out of reach as I'll be getting married the Monday before. I don't know if my beau wants to spend the honeymoon Harry Pottering.

We'll see, though.

Oh best wishes to you two! Is you beau fannish or not? Since I've become fannish, I'm not sure I know how to be involved with peopel who aren't.

He enjoys the movies and indulges me when I wax lyrical about Neville, or Trevor or Snape or whatever. But no, he's not terribly fannish. But I did meet him well before the HP disease overtook me.

ah, so he had to adjust. that's important. It's one of my greatest sources of joy that my ex who introduced me to harry potter is also my ex- most likely to be both puzzled and annoyed by fannishness. Living well is the best revenge and all that.
