I'm having such fun re-reading this as you "upgrade." I like how Severus expresses himself in your story - he's much more 3D, and entirely capable of caring deeply for someone, than in most fic. He's not some angsty, hand-wringing mensch, just terribly reserved and careful and formal.

And deliciously articulate. Always a plus in the land of "yeah"s and "okay"s.
