Finally caught up with last week's episode and tonight's.

Dear God, Octavian is FUCKED UP. Also his little bride? Creeeepy. She seemed to like the idea of being whipped and then she bit the head off of that roast bird.

I sort of feel bad for Antony, but I'm really looking forward to the intense insanity of his relationship with Cleopatra.

Predictably I have quite the thing for Maecenas. Anyone who wants to write me utterly gratuitous fic about him and those two random whores (the boy and the girl) in his litter before that meeting with Posca (omg, I can't believe POsca married Jocasta!) I would owe some sort of vaguely inappropriate debt to.

Eirene's death was really sad.

And damn, Lindsay Duncan is an astounding actress.

Must never really discuss this matter of Pullo biting out someone's tongue ever again though.

i don't remember the last time i cried over a television show. and then i felt horrible for thinking, "well, she HAD to die. things will be so much more interesting with titus free to go after dred girl."

I feel like I need to be finding a way to watch this. Like, obviously from the beginning, but in general, every time you mention it I go "Holy mother of mercy I need to watch that!" When I have time this summer I shall find a way and watch all of it, yes I shall!!

In looking through the actors (while I should be sleeping), I have determined that I should attempt to make friends with this show over April break, though that may be too much show in too little time. But that cast is exhilarating and must not be put off.
