- Hem and haw about a couple of different EGA jackets I want and decide which one first and when: http://www.fanplusfriend.com/servlet/the-379/Elegant-Goth-Gothic-Aristocrat/Detail (but I have issues about the buttons that I'd replace), http://www.fanplusfriend.com/servlet/the-439/Elegant-Goth-Gothic-Metal/Detail (adore the cut/hang and front, am not sure about the buckles in back), http://www.fanplusfriend.com/servlet/the-353/Elegant-Goth-Gothic%2CRoyal-Military/Detail (the cut is to die for, the epaulettes concerning). Help!

not in that order.

Ohh, that second coat is absolutely killer. I even kind of like the buckles in back. Might be annoying to sit down in, though, with the buckles. I don't *always* like to perch attentively on the edge of a chair.

The second one is the one I am leaning towards, definitely.

I love the second one. Love love love.

I'm seconding a recommendation for the second one. It's the best cut of all three, even if the buckles are weird.

I think you've just solved a skirt dilemma by linking to this site. Much thanks!

How do you find these sources?

int his case, I was googling for long white bloomers for something. I love looking at EGL girls, but it's too kawaii for me by and large, but there usually tends to be some more severe, victorian, more covered stuff on the sites that isn't about looking young that I can repurpose to my gentleman's life.

I love the cut of the 2nd one, but the back buckles just scream "emo goth kid" to me rather than lovely period piece, which the rest of it is.

I think the second would look great with the way you have your body now from fencing. Actually, I sort of like the buckles, but you have enough sewing experience to probably be able to remove them.

My Opinion:
2, 1, 3

I think you in number 2 could do damage to both genders in all the good ways.

The second one, absolutely, especially if you can ditch the buckles.

Random Question:

I am looking for a reasonably-priced blouse reminiscent of what Sting wears in The Bride - something with that kind of tied cravat, but in black.

Do you have any ideas on where to look online for such a thing? I'm not sure that's really Regency era, though that seems close..

Definte reasonably priced? I can point you at someone who does custom work for exactly what I think you're looking for, but in the 90 - 125 range.

Mmm...that's a little out of my range, but I could save up.
That might be a good place to start. Do you know of any sites as well?
