I stumbled just now on this photo on the New York Times site in a photo essay on weddings at the borough courthouse in Queens.

It made my geek meeter trill loudly. Since I don't really write Snape/Hermione anymore, I offer it to all of you. Someone's got to be inspired by this thing other than me.

oh, yes. i was thinking that. and the black shirt and buttons are so severe, the chain so practical... her nails are short and unpainted... a whole story.

I'm so glad it's not just me, because I can't stop looking at it. I only looked at the photo seies because of this piture, and really, the photo series does nothing to explicate the thing at all.

it makes me think that the priest has the rings... that's all i can think. that he's had them to be blessed or something.

but i like my non-realistic explanations better.
