(no subject)

I do not know if it is posible for me to post these links to a story on bullfighting without causing lots fo comments about how evil bullfighting is or without engendering some sort of demand for my own position on the matter, which is sort of besides the point and in the way of my interest in the matter here.

I was rivetted by this article in the Wall Street Journal for it is about mythmaking and the world of dying arts, and a lot of my life is, of course, based around the gasps things make as they pass from this world.

what an amazing photograph. My father took me to a bullfight in Mexico when I was 8. I don't think they allow them to be killed anymore, but they did that day. It was gruesome. I remember the fighter seeming sad at the ordeal the beast went through.
