Yeah, yeah, I know Fischerspooner is the big hot thing right now and everyone has to go on about how into them or not they are, but I still think it's uproariously funny and _insanely_ brilliant. I'm pleased it's out there. Really, really pleased, even if in a weird way it's sort of mean spirited and dark. I mean, can't we be absurd and fabulous and be okay with liking ourselves for it?
Anyway, it's just one more thing that gives me the feeling that as bleak and weird as the world is right now, things are going to be _really_ interesting in a couple of years.

I have similar hopes - if we avoid becoming a theocratic police state then I'm guessing the current troubles combined with the interesting things happening on various fringes may create something new, wonderful, and very powerful.
