The house is now in that worse before better stage that demands a moment of procrastination. But I've emptied the three bins and must now prepare to move the bookcase. Then "better" will begin.

In the meantime, I found ten copies of the chapbook I published in 1996 (I didn't think there were any more) and while the poems largely embarass me (a few do remain very solid pieces) because it was _such_ a time and place, I really do have some awfully nice turns of phrase in there.

I also found the letter I have to copy and send to the credit reporting agencies to significantly clean up my credit report, so that's pretty awesome. Most other finds: less impressive. I have too many books. We're definitely going to need other book shelving areas, but we'll deal with that when she's back.

Sneezing from dust; insisting on victory -- that's my life in six words right now.

I'm pretty sure I've mentioned this before, but the poems definitely embarass me when I try to read them to my daughter. And as our place is definitely also in the messy disaster before better stage of packing (mostly down to odds and ends that don't group or fit conviently into boxes), you are in my thoughts as well.

Thank you, and re: the poems -- oh dear.
