(no subject)

I am sick as a dog. Wobbly, sweaty, congested.

Despite this, we managed to buy a small dining set today, two dressers, and bookcases, which will all be delivered tomorrow. We went to a billion stores and we're gettign discouraged but managed very well in the end.

I also went to GAP and bought the perfect business casual thing for tomorrow, and was gratified by Patty's shock at how different I looked in it. That was once my whole life. Lavendar striped shirt, black pants, patent leather belt.

I want to respond to email/comments/etc. & post about some DH stuff that I feel like no one has talked about yet (some of which I suspect everyone is thinking but no one wants to be the person who writes about it first) but hardly have the energy to do anything, so it's going to have to continue to wait. Bah.

Fencing tomorrow seems extremely doubtful.

Yes, I want to hear about DH stuff from your perspective. If you've written about it elsewhere, please give me the link so I can look at it. I just finished the book on Friday.

There are some older posts here in the journal, that ae just sort of laundry lists of rants - do you need links to those?

Nah, I'll scroll through to find them.
I forgot to say the most important thing: Feel better!!

Well, we did a lot on the living room last night, and we'll do a lot on the bedroom tonight, so yeah.

excellent! I am mentally removing all the bins from your living room, and I can totally see a dining set and bookcases in there... where did you end up finding stuff you liked?

I have a somewhat non-sequitur request.

I'm going to start in on Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in the next couple of weeks. There're reasons I haven't started reading it yet, which can all be laid at the feet of Steven King and his hideous mistreatment of The Dark Tower, but I digress... suffice to say that I was waiting on the last book, and wanted to see how she did it.

I expect that I'll want to talk about the books, and I know that you've thought about them more than most. Is there an address I could reach you at for non-LJ HP-related correspondence? Mine is mike at omg we rock dot com. If you're amenable, please let me know of an address. I thank you greatly.

I guess I would say that the important thing to remember as you start them is that the first three are very clearly children's books. It's at the fourth they start to turn.
