Hey folks! Yesterday was awesome and I'll provide a full report later with lots of Your-LJ-Name-Here and shopping and good food and sanity and so forth. When I got back to the hotel though the staff worker who tried to tell me I was not allowed in the lounge that is open 24 hours was hogging the computer looking at porn (that, explaining that), and so there was no time until now. Lots of people need the termie, so I'm off, but I'll try to post tonight before I have to crash for my fuck-o'clock flight tomorrow.

Also, if you have asked me something in comments and I've not answere: LJ is only mailing me some of my comments, often days late and sometimes not at all. So I'm totally sorry if you've been burned by that!

I doubt this will solve your problem, but it can't do any harm either.

Try adding lj_notify@livejournal.com to your address book/contact list.

It doesn't guarantee that emails will come just as fast or anything, but it does guarantee that if LJ_Notify gets added to the spam box, you'll still receive messages.

Why is it 'I' before 'E' except after 'C' blah blah woof woof doesn't apply to the word 'receive'? I always spell that word wrong, because 'receive' doesn't sound like the 'A' in neighbour or weigh, but it has 'E' before 'I.' Why is that? Is it just there to make me ask questions? Is it there because of some evolution of our language? Why?
