The GF Chinese place here closed. I am once again without egg rolls, etc.

Aw hell. Gourmet Land? I liked that place!!! :(

Yeah. And there's this biiiiiiiiigkerfluffle on the celiac boards if it's because of celiacs being rude about the place on Internet forums.

Technically the restaurant is still there, but no more GF menu and new management.

Ugh. That's frustrating! I don't have celiac, but I *am* severely allergic to monosodium glutamate. That restaurant was one of perhaps three in all of NYC and the boroughs I trusted enough to eat from, primarily because they were so very, very careful about their food. When they said "No MSG", they meant it.

I have a bunch of clients on the UES. I used to drop in there after late afternoon meetings for a quick bite or to bring food home. Even met the owner a few months back. Nice guy.

Dammit!

Totally nice guy. He was awesome to Patty and I the night we arrived about 5 minutes before they stopped taking orders.

I've been meaning to tell you, an older friend of mine has some recipes for gluten-free cake and the like, do you think you could use them?

Oh, how depressing! I can't find any GF egg rolls around here.
