We watched Elizabeth last night in preparation for The Golden Age. It does not, as I knew, hold up as well on the small screen. It is also, I think, a very different movie depending on where one is in one's life. Certainly, I felt less sense of identifying with Elizabeth this time around, probably because my life is essentially functional. Walshingham, predictably, interested me far more than he had in the past, and I was amazed at how much the film says or might say or let's you think it's saying, in its spaces, especially as regards him. And I was utterly flabbergasted to discover it was Daniel Craig playing the priest carrying letters from Rom. Norfolk remains fascinating, but I could watch Ecclseston read the phone book.

So yes.

Tonight we're going to clean the house and bake sugar cookies.

That is, once I finally get home from work -- it took 45 minutes to get a train.

Meanwhile, I continue to add tags to my HP book on Amazon. It interests me that others have used the tags "Hermione Granger" and "Hogwarts" and "Voldemort" but that there are no tags for Ron, Dumbledore or Snape.

Can you actually see Ron reading your book? But the others are odd.

Now I want to be all iconoclastic and Gryffindor and add tags for Daedalus Diggle, spattergroit and Umbridge. :3
