- my mom's surgery is at 7am
- Michael Clayton is an excellent film.
- I am tired.
- Some assholes blew up the World Trade Center and all we got were these lousy stickers: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10/17/nyregion/17direction.html
Seriously, didn't you used to always navigate by the Twin Towers?

have you read any of Tales of Mu yet?

I'm thoroughly addicted, and I suspect based on what I've read of your journal -- with your interests in fantasy, sapphism, and BDSM -- that you're even more a target audience than I. :-)

May her surgery be quick & easy and her recovery time fast & painless.
The waiting is always difficult. If I know I'm going to be waiting with someone, I usually bring a deck of cards. I find that the games you can play with them are just distracting enough to keep your mind occupied and for time to go a little more quickly, yet don't require so much focus and brainpower that I give up on them as too annoying. Good luck tomorrow.

Doesn't work well at 2am, though.

And no, never used the towers much to navigate. Mostly just for uptown/downtown directions. I know my way mostly by landmarks in separate areas.
Take good care today, dear. Here's hoping you're all too tired to be agitated as you mentioned.

And seriously . . Michael Clayton was unbelievable. Once the credits started, Chris leaned over to me and said, "George Clooney and Steven Soderburgh could produce Police Academy 8 and I would go see it."
