deck the halls with WHAT?

So there's some Shrek holiday special coming up or something, and in the ad for it people are singing some Shrekified version of "Deck the Halls." Now I don't know from Shrek at all, but wow, it gives my Slytherin heart glee, since the line I keep catching is:

Deck the halls with snakes and lizards
ext_35366: (Gabriel Boa necklace)

I thought you'd bee amused. I actually heard it as I was putting this big metal snake thing someone bought me a few years ago up on our wall.

Shrek strikes me right on the border of cartoon for adults. It's put out there as a kids film, but some of the in-jokes and such are not for the Fisher-price set. Then again, with Eddie Murphy playing the part of "Donkey" there's not much to expect.

IMHO it's just another installment of people of advanced age making fun/parody of the things they grew up with. Fairy tales set in the current reality. Good for a laugh though.

Hey, Shannon Wheeler (creator of Too Much Coffee Man) showed me a website that made me think of you: http://booktour.com/ They promote your book. I figured I'd link you since you're the only other author on my f-list.
:)
Oh, and if you do happen to join it, tell them he referred you and he'll get extra points or something.

Ok, I'm done bothering you. For now!

Oh no, now I have a very strong desire to Slytherinize a bunch of holiday songs for Evil Day.

"Oh come all yee faithful
All who sport the Dark Mark
Oh come all yee Death Eaters
to Lord Voldemort"

DO IT!

(...come ye, and fear him
Though he was born a ha-alf-blood
O come ye when the mark burns
O come ye when the mark burns
O come ye when the mark burns
To Lord Voldemort!)

I am intimately familiar with a different Shrek promotion - that of the frosted dairy dessert at a major fast food chain this past summer.

The name alone was enough reason to think the promotion might not have gone so well - Swamp Sludge.
