Dare we ask what's in Ohio??

What ever for? I live in Ohio...I would rather be in NYC on NYE!!

[identity profile] rm.livejournal.com 2007-12-18 05:04 am (UTC)(link)
Wanting to kiss my gf on NYE

Ok...acceptable. Maybe our rural red stateness will be charming...(ugh, why am I here again?)

Are you going to Columbus? I actually think you may like the Short North and Victorian Village. I miss it's charming Pleasantvillelike nature. :) And just think, you can take advantage of good restaurants at reasonable prices ;)

Yup. Patty just expressed enthusiasm for the Short North.

The SN is actually pretty nice. A little too gentrified now, but there are still some gems. Is Patty going to take you to Surly Girl?

ditto that. columbus has some nice bits and the surrounding countryside is really pretty. even in the snow.

Are you from? I love the drive to Southern Ohio from Columbus. So pretty.

I genuinely like Brooklyn, and can stomach NYC for work, but there is certainly something to be said for all of the space and nature that I left behind. :(

i went to school in athens, oh and now live in blacklick, east of columbus. i've lived all over the country and this is where i keep coming back. i've decided i can live anywhere as long as i can come back to visit hocking hills in the fall.

Why don't you visit the Hudson Valley? Cheap quick lovely train ride up the Hudson and you're in some serious nature!

I did a job up there this summer--it is very beautiful, but in work mode, it's hard to appreciate things. :)

It sounds like a nice getaway....
