Someone's smoke alarm is running out of batteries and has been going off for hours for no good reason.

I, meanwhile, am supposed to have today off, but that is now not to be the case. I am about to get dressed and head into the office. This is irksome, but at least it will be quiet there.

Then I have fencing.

Then I will be home.
