I'm trying to remember the one with the L too! Was it Linotype or was that the brand name for the actual typefaces as opposed to the press type delivery?

The Mergenthaller Linotype Co., made typographic machines. I believe they also made metal-on-wood and all-metal press type blocks. The company still exists, and is based in Germany.

I suspect they produced press type as well, but I'd have to rummage in the sewing closet over Easter to find out.

Letraset ... I still have a number of large flat boxes of it in my office. I loved the stuff.
