I just had to chase a GIANT fly out of our bedroom. The cats are hopefully eating it right now. And I need to go buy screens. Egads that was awful.

Maybe I can send my GIANT spiders your way to eat your GIANT flies.

It's a win-win.

I win.

And I win.

I don't see the downside.

:)

Despite the logic of that and the goodness of spiders, Patty is really freaked out by them, so they are not allowed.

Spiders don't generally bother me, but when I moved into the suburbs and I saw the OMGDON'TEATME sized ones, I changed my tune a little.

Scary.

Don't go to Australia. Size of your head spiders, just hanging out on tree trunks on the equivalent of Park Avenue in New York City.

It was really intense. Not because they were scary, but I don't think of spiders as animals that have lives I'm aware of. They do their bug thing at their bug level and I don't need to know. But these were like way on our terms and in our space.

See that's sort of how I feel. Yeah, I mean the big ones here are still small by comparison and it's more of a city vs. suburban thing for me.

But having them in your face like that would squick me out BIG TIME!!!

omg, that's just wrong. I prefer the lysol/bic death by flamethrower method of killing spiders.

Hey, let's hear a little arachnid love in here!

Three cheers for eight-leggedy beasties. (Jezebel, pictured above, didn't eat flies as a rule -- crickets and cicadas were more her speed -- but I'm sure she would happily have chomped 'em if I'd bothered to catch 'em for her.)

I once unleashed an entire can of Easy Off on a H-U-G-E creaure in my bathroom. Scary thing was, 'it' wasn't dying, seemed so unnatural how it kept..crawling. I had to go to work & then had awake/nightmares the entire day of returning home only to find 'it'....NOT THERE in the poll of poison.

Luckily it was there, but I had to call a friend to dispose of.

uuuggggg................

Too many bug stories in my experience - never mind the flying cockroach landing on my back while hiking 3,00o ft. in NM...........where were the kittes then, hhmmmm??
