- Patty is meeting my parents tonight.

- I have found the corner of Torchwood fandom that doesn't suck.

- ComicCon was scary and overwhelming and well beyond my capacity to cope with. I couldn't find what I was looking for, but did bump into Jaida, Jill and almost get stabbed by an easle in the hands of Milo Ventimiglia.

- Need to go to work.

- Got a couple of articles assigned -- one on gay and lesbian travel, the other on "are you ready for a civil union?" which is actually more about "this will fuck up your income taxes more than you can possibly imagine if you live and work in states with different laws."

2. non-suckage is good.
3. I hate overwhelm, but I do like Milo Ventamiglia. He's kinda cute.
4. working on days that ought not to be workdays is annoying.

To go on, I read a couple of pieces from ukcalico last night which were scorching (Jack/Ianto and John/Ianto) and really really character driven. nestra wrote a brilliant drabble in response to one of the ukcalico pices, and I read a story by derryderrydown that included WWI-era Jack and managed to convey the fact that Jack really cares about Ianto without turning either of them into women you or I would be prone to punching in the face to make them stop fucking talking.
