The Fall

I keep seeing posters for this, and then [livejournal.com profile] rollick posted about her interview with Tarsem (whom I should clearly be obsessed with), and then I went to the site (http://www.thefallthemovie.com/) and watched the trailer.

Stunning.

Wow. I can't believe I hadn't heard about this movie before. It looks breathtaking.

I have to see this. It opens for a limited run on May 9th, I hope I'm correct in assuming it will be playing somewhere in NYC.

It looks gorgeous.

There are 2 scenes in the trailer, while on their own they wouldn't be weird, both appear documentarily in Baraka.

The Ramayana Monkey Chant (which is just a glimpse in the trailer) and the Whirling Dirvishes, which are even in the same slow motion.

Not really a problem for me, since I adored Baraka and those scenes are wonderful, but I hope the story within the story that possibly becomes the story won't just completely take its beauty from other beautiful movies or stories, or if it does that I simply won't recognize it.

Still, it looks amazing.
