- a return to fencing tonight.

- news on Torchwood season 3 and rumour on season 4: http://community.livejournal.com/torch_wood/3337615.html - people are sort of freaking out and I don't get it. But then I've never been in a TV fandom before, so I'm not exactly sitting here expecting to get burned -- I suppose I should be.

- It's all [livejournal.com profile] tommx's fault that I've spent my background processing time at work today on "I will not write fic about the woman Jack married. I won't. I really won't." I'm totally going to.

- Oh, hey. Is there an order I'm supposed to read the Torchwood tie-in novels in? Now that I've accepted trying to get them used is impossible (thank you, A1 Books for sucking more than I can possibly describe) I figure I may as well do this right if I'm going to have to actually spend $.

- the new vet is so conscientious it scares me. Is there anything I book two months in advance in my life except perhaps travel?

- Okay, "Tell My Father" is an awesome song, but not appropriate for being on repeat before fencing now that we have discovered that loud trashy music (to go with my loud trashy brain) is what psychs me up to do the best in there.

On TW season 3 -- I suppose I should be happy it hasn't been canceled...

My work is done. For now.

On an unrelated note, I'm auditioning for an upcoming production of Julius Caesar that you might find of interest. Cassius being cast as female and a former lover of Brutus.

Granted, the reason is probably due to the lack of available men for the role (I originally was going to go for Cassius but now am contemplating Brutus) but it makes for some interesting dynamics.

Julius Caeser is completely the best Shakespeare play to mess with the genders on.

Word. This is the first time I'm trying my hand at a dramatic role in Shakespeare (and the second audition I've had in 17 years) so I'm trying to manage expectations while at the same time, doing all I can to prepare a reasonably interesting audition.
