rm- Still feeling strong and awesome from fencing yesterday. Which is a good thing since this is the first week of three days a week, while Patty is away. I'm trying to get back into the mindset of serious and necessary training. So far, so good.
- I am finally alert enough to really, really miss Patty. Part of that is fencing. It's an incredible privilege to do something that is hard in the way that fencing is hard and come home to someone who understands what it means and being without that even temporarily, even though I started this endeavor in a vacuum, is hard. Of course, she is also warm and soft and funny and the list goes on and on and on but you get the idea.
- I normally don't twitter about my writing in progress, especially not my fanfic in progress, because, really, who gives a crap? However this bug I got about Jack's wife -- it's turning into the most awesome thing. She's just delightful (of course she is). And not what I expected to come out of this little project. It's also becoming clear to me that this isn't a fandom I'm going to be highly productive in, because for whatever reason I treat it the way I treat V for Vendetta -- if I write it, it has to be perfect and with intent. My HP stuff has so much more room because there's so much world building to fix or ignore; whereas TW/DW has a billion details you have to figure out how to slot together in the right order. These stories have to be tight in a very different way.

- I have come up with half a plan for clothes for Governor's Island this weekend. It's not ideal. It's not accurate. It's not even entirely satisfying, but it will at least be fun and go with my current mode of being (brash? is that what it is? I think that's what it is).
